I would definitely like to be at that game as well.  I mean, a national team is a national team.  That's crazy.  Awesome scheduling HBU.

At the game right now. Pretty even, Huskies had a good chance with a header that was stopped in front of the goal.

We lost 1-0 as they pushed one through around the 83rd-ish minute (they were counting down from 45 and I don't remember exactly what time was left).

I would like to say that the better team lost, but I believe the girls tied against PV A&M earlier that day, who should be far below our competitive level. I will say that the team that played the better game lost because we were in control the entire game with several opportunities that we just couldn't finish.

Playing a night game (and a very cold one at that) against a national team was a very cool experience. I was at the game sitting on the decent-sized bleachers looking out onto our nice field with lights and it reminded me how far HBU has come and what other steps we can and will take to improve our facilities, teams, and athletic agenda as a whole.

Keep it up HBU!

This is the most annoying thing about the college game...

Yeah, that is annoying.  And why no stoppage time?

Well, they kinda had stoppage time. I think in the regular season they have stoppage time, but I have discussed this with people at the games before having issues with it which makes me think maybe they don't. Anyways, at this game the clock stopped counting down at the 2 minute mark and it seemed like they played for about 5 minutes after that. There was only 1 Puerto Rico sub I can remember and 1 person was "hurt" for about a minute so there wasn't much need for a lot of time. The refs stopped the game after Puerto Rico cleared a failed HBU corner, so I would say it was the equivalent of stoppage time.

The counting down is g4y. I've only seen HBU soccer games, but is it like this anywhere else?
